Portraits of Peter trace the spiritual formation of Peter from Fisherman, Follower, Foresaker, and  Father.

What we want to do is trace the work of the Spirit of God in Peter's life from his first encounter with Jesus (Fisherman) to his last letter as a Father to the church. Using the lens of four key phases in his journey – Fisherman, Follower, Forsaker, and Father – we will explore the transformative power of faith, grace, boldness, forgiveness, redemption, and mission in the life of one of the most well-known disciples.

Peter is a historical figure that the churched and unchurched can connect with. We don’t even really know when he settled his faith in Jesus. Peter was one of the slowest to grasp the gospel of the kingdom because of his inconsistency and humanity but once he did, laid out a powerful vision for what a church, built by Jesus, empowered by the Spirit, and living for the glory of God should look like.
