In Jonah, God challenged the idea that you can’t be MERCIFUL if you are JUST. What love looks like to our enemy. Loving our neighbor is a way that we DEMONSTRATE and PARTICIPATE IN the mercies of God. Do we even SEE, UNDERSTAND our neighbor, never mind LOVE them or do we see them as a THREAT to our way of life.
